Went to see Thor today which was pretty good - I'd say 7.5 out of 10. It was a pretty stock storyline, but well done and pretty entertaining, with a lovely emotive score from Patrick Doyle. Natalie Portman was, as always, brilliant and beautiful. It seems that even when playing a stock role, she does so convincingly and interestingly. Anthony Hopkins was his usual epic self, although still reminds me of Zorro. However, the hero (played by Chris Hemsworth) was brilliantly cast, and frequently quite amusing. Suffice to say, I can't wait for the Avengers in 2012. Stroke of genius from Marvel to link all of the films together with little mentions and themes running throughout.
Anyway, see ya.
